I have loved taking pictures for many years. It was a hobby up until 4 years ago when my friends started asking me to take pictures at their daughter's Quincianero (Sweet 15) parties. I was also asked to do a small wedding and a couple of events.

I enjoyed it so much, that I decided to get serious about it and make it more than a hobby. I am currently taking classes at the local community college and learning more each day.

I am married to a wonderful man for the past 20 years, who is becoming my apprentice, (he actually took this picture of me), and I have the two most handsome sons. I am also a Pastor, which is my first priorty, then photography. So far, I have been able to juggle both.

The name CastleRivers derives from my married name and my maiden, in English. In Spanish "Castle" is Castillo and "Rivers" is Rios.

My Equipment: Nikon D70 Digital SLR with Speedlight SB 800.

Nikon Lenses: 50mm 1:1.8D; 28-70mm 1:2.8-4 DG D; 18-200mm 1:3.5-5.6 G ED VR; 70-300mm 1:4-5.6 DG.

I am now the proud owner the Nikon D300. I want to make the D300 my primary cameran and my D70 my secondary!
